Adding & managing patients
A patient is a birthing person in your practice’s care. Patients are the starting point for recording births.
Add a patient
Section titled “Add a patient”- Open Patients from the sidebar.
- Choose Add patient.
- Enter their details. Only a few fields are required to get started — you can always add more later.
- Save.
Find a patient
Section titled “Find a patient”Use the search box at the top of the Patients list to filter by name. The list is scoped to your practice, so you’ll only ever see your own patients.
Update or correct a record
Section titled “Update or correct a record”Open a patient to view their details, then choose Edit. Changes are saved to the patient record and, where relevant, reflected in your practice analytics.
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Patient records contain protected health information (PHI). Access is limited to providers in your practice, sensitive fields are encrypted, and access is logged. See Privacy & data security for details.
